Nancy Isime was born on December 17, 1991, in Lagos State, though she originally hails from Esan, Edo State. She is 30 years old as of May 2022. Nancy was raised alongside her three siblings, by her parents Mr and Mrs Isime. The actress revealed she was the only light-skinned child of her mum who passed away on April 28, 1996.

According to reports sighted by DNB Stories Africa, Nancy Isime lost her mum when she was five years old and was then raised by her strict father whose disciplinary actions made her who she is today. The actress revealed she didn’t have a smooth childhood and that she suffered from depression and attempted her first suicide in childhood.

How Nancy Isime started her career as a model

Growing up, Nancy Isime wanted to be many things from a lawyer to a surgeon to a geologist. While in the university, she kept receiving compliments from people about having the shape of a model. As a result of this, she decided to venture into modelling.

She started her career in modelling in 2009 after she won Miss Valentine International Beauty Pageant. She also contested for Miss Telecoms Nigeria where she came in second place. She has also worked with big fashion brands like Lanre Da Silva, Modela, Adebayo Jones, House of Marie, Ade Bakare, Zizi Cardow, Shakara Couture, Konga Online, and many others. However, she decided to take a break from modelling to focus on her career as an actress and TV presenter.

Nancy Isime was also the host of the backstage segments of the Project Same West Africa Season 7 talent show. In 2019, she hosted the “Headies” alongside Nigerian rapper “Reminisce“. In 2021, Nancy Isime became the presenter of the Voice Nigeria.

Nancy Isime has evolved to become one of the most sought-after actresses of her age in Nigeria today. Her journey as an actress began in 2011 when she met a producer named “Dickson Dzakpasu” who told her she would look great on TV. She made her acting debut in the TV series, “Echoes”. 

She has since then starred in dozens of movies, including A Trip to Jamaica (2016), Hire A Man (2017), Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demon (2018), Hire A Woman (2019), Kambili: The whole 30 yards (2020) and Blood Sisters (2022).
