Twitter: Nigerians beg Peter Obi to contest for 2023 presidency

Some Nigerians have trooped to different social media platforms, mostly Twitter, to beseech a former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, to contest for Nigeria’s presidency at the coming 2023 general elections.

One of the social media commenters even threatened to drag Mr Obi to court if he failed to contest, to which Obi jokingly replied that he has no money for a court case.

The Twitter user’s tweet read:

“Sir, if at the end of this month and you don’t declare interest for presidency in the 2023 election, then be ready for a legal action from me. Leave #AFCON2021 for Orji UZOR Kalu, that’s his calling, not yours. Your calling is excellent economic leadership. Congrats #TeamNigeria.”

Obi contested as running mate to Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 general elections but didn’t win.

Here are some of the tweets:

One Twitter user even suggested that he picks Oyo governor, Seyi Makinde, as running mate.
