Octavio Ocaña was shot to death in Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico, in the early hours of October 29, 2021. The events surrounding his death have not been fully investigated.

There are several accounts of how Octavio died currently being reported in the media.
In one of the reports, it is stated that he pulled out a gun and accidentally shot himself in the face while he was being pursued by the police. According to the story, he was driving a Jeep Cherokee in the company of two others who were later revealed to be family friends.
When the local police ordered him to stop and he did not, they pursued him. Initially, there was some street gossip that the police had shot him, however, reports from the prosecutor’s office said the police did not fire at him.
There are also reports alleging that he had been drinking and might have been intoxicated when he pulled out a pistol.
