Ifeanyi Kalu’s childhood and education
Although originally from Imo State, Ifeanyi Kalu was born in Lagos State, precisely Surulere. Though he grew up in Festac.
Ifeanyi Kalu is the last of five children and also the only son. He has 4 sisters.
Ifeanyi Kalu has disclosed that he grew up under strict parenting. He said he wasn’t allowed to go out much as a child, because his parents were overprotective and didn’t want him to be influenced by bad kids.
Education
Ifeanyi Kalu graduated from Lagos State University with a degree in Computer Science. The actor also holds a Java and Oracle qualification from the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT).
In pursuit of his interest in acting, Ifeanyi Kalu attended Emem Isong’s Royal Art Academy in 2011.
He also studied fashion designing at the Zaris Fashion and Style Academy and interned with Mon Ami Fashion House as a pattern drafter and designer in order to improve his skills in fashion designing.

Ifeanyi Kalu shares a striking resemblance with another Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu, and they are sometimes mistaken as brothers. The speculations are further fuelled by the two sharing the name “Kalu”.
But the truth is that Ifeanyi Kalu and Kalu Ikeagwu are not brothers, and neither are they related in any way. They are just talented Nollywood actors who have gained recognition in the industry.

Ifeanyi Kalu began his career as a model, appearing in television and billboard commercials. He had his big break in the movie industry when he got featured in the successful 2012 movie ‘Kokomma’, where he played the role of ‘Usen’. The movie was produced by Uduak Isong Oguama and was directed by Tom Robson. The movie received three nominations at the 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
