Naira Marley threw a concert amid COVID-19, Nigerians react

Nigerian singer Naira Marley reportedly held a packed concert last night in Abuja, defying social distancing laws.

It was gathered that the concert was initially supposed to be a ‘drive-in’ party, but in the spirit of grooving, fun-seekers defied social distancing and flooded the venue in groups.

The concert was said to have taken place at Jabi Lake Mall Car Park. According to bystanders, the concert was initially planned to be a drive-in event and the organizers seemed to have things under control until Naira Marley came on stage and people left their cars and dived into the party.

Naira Marley whose real name is Azeez Fashola is currently trending on Twitter as Nigerians share their opinions about the Abuja concert.

The concert was reportedly hosted by ex-BBNaija Pepper Dem housemate Kim Oprah.

A Twitter user shared a video of Naira Marley and Kim Oprah arriving Abuja in a jet ahead of the concert which was planned to be a drive-in event before things went out of control.

The Abuja concert by Naira Marley was put together by Play Network Africa, Traffic Bar, El’Carnival and was proudly sponsored by Glenfiddich.

Concert tickets were sold by Nairabox and Ariiya.
