Joke: The Generator Thief

by Izuchukwu ‘Zeus’ Okpala

A cripple was arrested in connection with stealing a generator.

When brought to court, the Judge said to him, “Upon looking at you, I have seen that you cannot be a thief due to your disability. For having being accused wrongly and disgraced in character, I order you to take this generator home. It will become yours from today onwards. Let this be your compensation.”

The cripple thanked the Judge and with joy he jumped down from his hand cycle and crawled to the generator and lifted it on his head to leave the court.

At the door, the Judge ordered him to stop. “You have successfully demonstrated to us that you are indeed capable of stealing the generator. You are hereby sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour. Case closed!”
