He is 80 years old as of June 2023. Biden studied at the University of Delaware before earning his law degree from Syracuse University. He previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under President Barack Obama and represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009. He got married to Neilia Hunter Biden (Hunter Biden’s mother) in 1966 in Skaneateles, New York, United States. They have three children. Unfortunately, Neila died in an automobile crash in 1972 alongside her youngest child, Naomi.

Three years after the death of his first wife Neilia, Biden got married to his second wife Jill Tracy Jacobs (Hunter Biden’s stepmother) at the United Nations Chapel, in New York, United States in June 1977. Joe and Jill have one child together.

Neilia Biden (nèe Hunter) was an American teacher and the first wife of Joe Biden. She was born on July 28, 1942, in Skaneateles, New York, United States. Sadly, she passed away on December 18, 1972, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States at the age of 30. She got married to Joe Biden (Hunter Biden’s father) in 1966 in the United States. After the marriage, they moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where Joe Biden was on the New Castle County Council. They have three children. Shortly after Joe became U.S. senator-elect in 1972, Neilia was involved in an automobile crash alongside her three children.

It was reported that Neila pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer truck which was travelling north along Route 7. Neilia and her three children were taken to Wilmington General Hospital, where she and her daughter Naomi were pronounced dead on arrival, but her sons Beau and Hunter both survived with multiple serious injuries. Two weeks after the crash, Joe Biden was successfully sworn into the Senate. Neilia and Naomi were later buried in St. Joseph at the Brandywine Cemetery in Greenville, Delaware.

Hunter Biden was born as the second son of his parents. His siblings include Beau Biden and Naomi Biden. Through his stepmother, Jill Biden, Hunter gained a half-sister named Ashley Biden.

a. Beau Biden

Beau Biden is the older brother of Hunter Biden. He was an American politician, lawyer, and officer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps from Wilmington, Delaware. He was born on February 3, 1969, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. He died of glioblastoma (a type of aggressive brain tumour) on May 30, 2015, in Bethesda, Maryland, United States at the age of 46. 

Before his death, Beau Biden served as the 44th attorney general of Delaware from 2007 to 2015 and was a major in the Delaware Army National Guard in the Iraq War. He also worked at the United States Department of Justice in Philadelphia, first as Counsel to the Office of Policy Development and later as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office from 1995-2004.

Beau Biden was married to Hallie Oliver and they had two children. He was first diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) in 2001 and was later diagnosed with brain cancer. He was admitted to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston where he was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme in 2013.

Beau Biden died in May 2015. His funeral was held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware, on June 6, 2015. The funeral was attended by former US presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, former first ladies Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, former US Army Chief of Staff General Ray Odierno, and then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

b. Naomi Biden

Naomi Biden was the youngest sister of Hunter Biden. She was born on November 8, 1971, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. She passed away on December 18, 1972, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States at the age of 1 in a car accident.

c. Ashley Biden

Ashley Biden is the half-sister of Hunter Biden. She is an American social worker, activist, philanthropist, and fashion designer. She was born on June 8, 1981, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. She is 42 years old as of June 2023. Ashley served as the Executive Director of the Delaware Center for Justice from 2014 to 2019. Before her administrative role at the centre, she worked in the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families. She is happily married to plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist, Howard Krein.

Kathleen Buhle is the first wife of Hunter Buhle. She is an American writer and non-profit executive. She was born on December 5, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She is 54 years old as of June 2023.

Hunter met Kathleen Buhle in 1992 and they got married in 1993 after dating for a few months. They were married for 22 years, before separating in late 2015.

According to reports, throughout their marriage, Kathleen supported Hunter Biden through his struggles with addiction. In 2016, Kathleen filed for divorce, and during their divorce proceedings, she filed a motion saying that Hunter spent extravagantly on his interests including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations, meanwhile leaving the family with no funds to pay legitimate bills. They finalized their divorce in April 2017 few weeks after Hunter Biden revealed that he was in a relationship with his late brother Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie Biden.

In Kathleen’s book, she explained how she felt after finding out about her husband’s affair with his late brother’s widow.

She said:

I felt a strange vindication. Not only had I not been crazy, but it was so much worse than I could have imagined. I was shocked, but not heartbroken. Heartbreak had already flattened my self-esteem that past year.

About Hunter Biden’s relationship with Hallie Olivere Biden

Hallie Olivere Biden is an American school counsellor and non-profit executive. She was born on July 6, 1973, in Greenville, Delaware, United States. She is 49 years old as of June 2023.

Hallie Biden is the widow of Hunter Biden’s late brother, Beau Biden who died of glioblastoma on May 30, 2015.

After Beau died in 2015, Hunter and Hallie became close and started dating the following year (2016). While they initially chose to keep the relationship a secret, news about their affair broke out in 2017, causing a ruckus in the media.

In an interview with the New Yorker, Hunter said:

I started to think of Hallie as the only person in my life who understood my loss.

According to Hunter, his father found out about the relationship when the New York Post called his office for comment.

Hunter’s father, Joe Biden said in a statement:

We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s complete support and we are happy for them.

Unfortunately, the pair broke up in 2017. In the same interview with The New Yorker, Hunter blamed their separation on pressure from the media.

He said:

All we got was shit from everybody, all the time. It was really hard, and I realized that I’m not helping anybody by sticking around.

About Hunter Biden’s relationship with Lunden Alexis Roberts

Lunden Alexis Roberts is popularly known as the mother of Hunter Biden’s four-year-old daughter Noah Roberts Biden. She is also reported to be a stripper at the Mpire Club in Washington DC, United States. She was born on March 5, 1991. She is 32 years old as of June 2023.

Hunter and Lunden Alexis first met when he first visited the club where Lunden worked. Although there are no reports to suggest that their relationship went beyond that, the pair welcomed a child in August 2018. Initially, Hunter Biden denied paternity of the child but a DNA test eventually confirmed paternity.

The lawsuit was later settled in March 2020 after Biden agreed to pay Roberts a monthly amount of child support and health insurance premiums, as well as other costs. In January 2023, Hunter Biden asked a judge to deny his daughter from taking his surname with claims that it would rob the child of a “peaceful existence” due to the criticism he has endured over time.

On the other hand, Lunden claimed the change of surname would not benefit her daughter. She also claimed that the “Biden” name will open opportunities for Noah Roberts just like it has for other members of the Biden family.

He has three daughters (Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy Biden) with his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle; another daughter (Noah Roberts Biden) with his “side chic” Lunden Alexis Roberts and a boy (Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden IV) with his second wife Melissa Cohen.
