See a suicidal man’s selfless post that got everyone teary

by Staff writer

A post made by a suicidal man some years back has gotten online users quite emotional.

According to the man, identified only by his username “Turgahitlald”, he has decided to end his life by way of a firearm after many years of feeling abandoned, unloved and lonely.

According to him, he is going to shoot himself in the evening of August, in a grove of trees he likes to go camping in, and nothing anyone said will make him change his mind.

“It will be weeks, if not months, before my body is discovered — if it’s found at all,” Turgahitlald said.

“I rather hope I’m never found.”

As all attempts to talk him out of killing himself proved abortive, one user asked Turgahitlald to mention one thing he’d like to accomplish before finally killing himself.

“What is the one thing you regret not doing?” the man asked Turgahitlald. “If I have the means (and I probably do) I’ll make it happen for you.”

And here is what Turgahitlald answered:

“Regrets? I have a lot. Lots of women, missed opportunities, stupid decisions, complete lack of regard for my fellow earthly inhabitants in some cases.

“Something you can help with, though, that’s another issue.

“Okay, I’ve been sitting here for 20-something minutes now, trying to think of something. I think I’ve got it. Do you remember a truck made by Jeep, called the Comanche? I wanted one, since they came out. Still do. It’s probably the only thing I’ve ever wanted, like, really wanted all through my life, never stopped wanting or moved on from, and never got. They are getting pretty rare now anyways.

“Now, I don’t expect you to buy me a truck, that would just be silly and selfish. Besides, it would just go to waste come August anyways. So, if you still want to, and have the means, find one on Craiglist or Ebay that looks kinda nice. Take the amount it costs (or whatever you can afford), and donate that much to a foster program or orphanage.

“Or just buy them a pizza party or something. You might be surprised how much of a difference something like that can make to a kid that feels like nobody wants them. Maybe that kid won’t be like me when they get older. At least I hope.”

Turgahitlald’s selfless had touched everyone following the thread with some even saying the response had caused them to shed tears.

It’s been four years now that Turgahitlald’s post was last updated, leading many to believe he’d gone through with his plan of shooting himself.
