10 things to do to lead a beautiful life.
1. Be confident
I believe in life if there is one thing you can’t have enough of, it’s confidence. You must believe you can achieve all things and do all things! You’re great, and destined for great things!
There is no substitute for confidence and self-belief. It starts with you. Love yourself first, then you can start to give love. For the same reason on a plane in the event of an emergency they ask that you put on your oxygen mask first, because if you can’t help yourself, you can’t help anyone else. The stronger you grow with self-love, the stronger you can then project that love on to life.
2. Be humble
The counterpart of confidence. Yin & Yang. You’ll become less anxious, more helpful and have better self-control. Your relationships will thrive and your confidence can reach the sky without ever losing your grounding!
3. Be thankful
Look for what you have and not what you don’t have. If you’re not thankful for what you have now, it will be a never ending cycle of wanting more, neglecting what you already have. Having a loving family or a healthy body or strong teeth puts you in the top 1%, my friends!
4. Do not fear death
Death is nothing to fear at all. Honor the life you have now and the lives of your loved ones. In a way death is honorable — you make room for more people. You can’t have something without giving up nothing, and vice versa. Dying is like going to sleep and never waking up. And birth is like waking up after going to sleep. As you know people are born after you die, take satisfaction from that knowledge.
5. Be open
Don’t be such a hard ass! Don’t be afraid to look dumb and make mistakes. We all fail, it’s just that the winners fail and try again. Constantly be a student while teaching what you’ve learned. There is never a point in which you know it all. Listen more than you talk!
6. Always do the right thing
Do what’s right, know right and wrong, be a good person with integrity. Always do the right thing whether you feel like it or not. It’s about what you do when no one’s watching. How you see yourself in the mirror! You can lie to yourself or you can face life with courage and never take the easy way out for convenience’s sake.
7. Have personal responsibility
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Don’t take advantage of a situation just because the opportunity arises. Return the dropped wallet, never lie, cheat or steal. When you drop something on the floor, pick it up. Always be hard on yourself and hold yourself to the highest of characters.
8. What you give comes back
What comes around goes around. If you do good things, good things will happen. When you breathe, you give life to the trees. When the tree breathes, they give life to us. Nature is based on a give and take relationship. If you help people, they’ll want to help you. If you keep helping people as long as you live, without even trying you’ll receive all of the love, compassion and help you’d ever expect or ask for!
9. Use your words
Fighting should always be the last resort, in protecting yourself and your loved ones. Fighting is like a disease you infect your children with. It spreads and the more you fight the less you even try to use words. Teaching your children to never learn to debate or speak their minds without violence. The greatest war you can ever win is won by words, not bullets.
10. Never back down
Even if you’re the only one standing up for something, continue standing!
Remember this statement by Martin Niemöller:
“First, they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me —
And there was no one left to speak for me!”
Speak out for all freedoms! You never know which freedom could be taken next.
