Nigerians who believe witches live on trees rejoice over a burning coconut tree

Some residents of Festac Town in Lagos State were seen on video thanking and praising God after a coconut tree caught fire following a lightning strike.

In the video, voices were heard as the residents prayed and thanked God for sending fire to the trees.

Many Nigerians believe witches and evil people live and hold meetings on trees.

To them, seeing the tree on fire meant the witches and their homes are destroyed and this gladdened the residents.
