A 21-year-old Zimbabwean man named Dumisani Matonsi has hanged himself after his “young and beautiful wife” refused to have sex with him.
According to local media reports, Dumisani Matonsi took the grim decision of taking his own life after his 18-year-old new wife, Sarah Mazambatate, kept refusing him sex.
Matonsi got frustrated one night after another misunderstanding with his wife over sex. He stormed out of the room, according to the story, and about an hour later, his wife Sarah Mazambatate woke up to check on him.
She saw him hanging on a Msasa tree (zebrawood) branch in their compound.
Dumisani Matonsi’s death has been reported to Gweru Rural Police Station and a sudden death report filed under his name.
