She is best known for her luxury fashion brand, Veekee James, which has styled top Nigerian celebrities including Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa, Tomike, Prudent Gabriel Okopi, Priscilla Ojo, and many others. In 2023, Veekee James released two gospel songs “Nothing Less” and “Olugbeja.”

Veekee James was born to her parents Augustine James (father) and Esther James (mother). Her father was an architect, while her mother owned a tailoring shop. How Veekee James started her career
Veekee James developed an interest in fashion at a very young age. With her mother being a tailor, she was constantly surrounded by sewing materials and apprentices, which made her pick an interest in fashion design. Veekee has stated that she learned how to make clothes from her mother.

As of the time of publishing this article (June 2025), Veekee James is happily married to her husband, Femi Ayodeji Atere. The couple first met in 2019 when Femi worked as a manager for Veekee’s friend and hair entrepreneur, Wanneka.
