Suspected homosexual arrested in Lagos for beating up a man who denied him sex

A 28-year-old man identified as Jane Otubo suspected to be a homosexual has been arrested in the Oshodi area of Lagos after he allegedly beat up a man who refused to have sex with him.

According to the Lagos State Police Command, Mt Otubo, who lived in at No 3, Eniola Street, Mafoluku, Osodi, invited one Francis Azeez all the way from Abuja to his place in Oshodi.

Francis Azeez said Otubo had promised to help him set up a business. According to the story, Otubo got angry and assaulted Francis, who has spent a week in his house, after he repeatedly denied him sex.

Mr Otubo, a foodstuff trader who hails from Enugu State, was arrested when neighbors alerted the police.

Mr Otubo’s landlord, popularly known as Alfa, said he [Otubo] had been in the habit of inviting men to his house and constantly having issues with them.

Police say the case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the command.
