Who is Gal Gadot?
Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress, model, beauty queen and film producer. In 2004, at the age of 18, Gal Gadot was crowned Miss Israel. Gal Gadot is popularly known for her portrayal of “Wonder Woman” in the “DC Extended Universe”, and as “Sarah Black” in the Netflix movie, “Red Notice”, which also starred Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
Gadot also starred as “Gisele Yashar” in the “Fast and Furious” film series.
Gal Gadot’s full name is Gal Gadot-Varsano. She was born on April 30, 1985, in Petah Tikva, Israel to her parents – Michael Gadot (father) and Irit Gadot (mother). Her name “Gal” means “wave” and her surname “Gadot” means “riverbank”. As of November 2022, Gal Gadot is 37 years old.

Jaron “Yaron” Varsano is an Israeli businessman, producer and real estate mogul. He was born in 1975 in Amsterdam, Netherlands and is currently 47 years old. Jaron Varsano is popularly known for being Gal Gadot’s husband.
Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano met at an Israeli desert party. They met while Gal Gadot was still enlisted in the Israeli military. While speaking about their cute meeting, Gal Gadot said that the party had been strange to her and Varsano, however, they connected well.
She said:
“It was all about yoga, chakras and eating healthy – we didn’t exactly find ourselves there but we found each other.”
After the desert retreat, Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano remained in touch. In fact, they started dating two days later. Gadot said that right from the start, she knew Varsano was “the one” but she was too young to understand it (she was 21 years old at the time).
However, Varsano being 10 years older than Gal Gadot understood his feelings for her almost immediately. Gal Gadot revealed that Varsano said he was going to marry her by their second date.
According to Gal Gadot, Varsano said to her on their second date:
“I’m going to marry you. I’m going to wait for two years, but we’re going to get married.”
Just like Varsano said, two years later, in 2008, he proposed. About their engagement, Gal Gadot said that she wanted to keep that story to herself. She did tell the press that the way Varsano proposed to her was very special.
In 2008, Gal Gadot married Jaron Varsano in an intimate wedding ceremony in Israel. In 2015, after her portrayal of “Gisele Yashar” in the 2009 and 2013 “Fast and Furious” movies, Gal Gadot decided that she’d had enough of acting. At the time, her husband and daughter were travelling back and forth from Israel to Los Angeles in order for Gadot to book roles. And so, Gal Gadot started considering quitting acting and going to law school instead. However, Varsano motivated her not to quit.
Gal Gadot said:
“My husband told me, ‘What kind of role model do you want to be? You love to work, you love to challenge yourself. If you want to show Alma that she can follow her dreams, that’s what you should do. We’ll figure out the logistics.'”
When Varsano and Gadot started travelling around the world for Gadot’s movies, they found themselves staying in hotels. And so, they decided to invest in building a hotel. In Israel, Varsano and Gadot bought an old mansion, updated and redecorated it and then turned it into a hotel. The hotel was later sold in 2015 for $26 million to Roman Abramovich, a Russian oligarch, politician and former owner of the Premier League football club, Chelsea.
Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in 2020. Gal Gadot posted a picture of herself with her husband, captioning it:
“Happy anniversary. You’re my one. My only. My everything. 12 years of marriage feels like a walk in the park with you. To many more to come. I’m yours forever.”
Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano have three daughters together. As of the time of writing, they are still together and going strong in love.
