When is International Men’s Day?

by Staff writer

There is a male equivalent to International Women’s Day.

Each year International Men’s Day is celebrated on November 19 and 2017 will be no exception.

It is an international event and is celebrated in over 70 countries.

On its official website, the event states that the day is a “focus on men’s and boy’s health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting positive male role models.”

Every year on International Women’s Day, many men, albeit quite comically, take it upon themselves to query people about the date of the male equivalent.

Still, not many people can swiftly provide this answer without having to resort to Google, or any of its cousins.

People generally do not show that much an excitement about that day.

Hopefully this year will be be an exception.
