Meet the Nigerian designer that made Theresa May’s beautiful jacket

by Staff writer

Theresa May just visited Nigeria and while her policy projects have drawn much applause and excitement, Nigerians cannot also stop talking about the beautiful yellow jacket she wore during the meetings.

The jacket was made by Nigerian fashion house Emmy Kasbit, owned by fashion designer Emmanuel Okoro.

According to the label’s official Instagram account, the jacket is from their Spring Summer 2018 Collection and had been put together by many beautiful women who worked tirelessly day and night.

“Honored to have the British Prime Minister #THERESAMAY wearing a custom jacket from our Spring Summer 18 Collection,” the post read.

Emmy Kasbit was launched in January 2014 and won the Fashion Focus Prize at Lagos Fashion Week in 2017.
