Brave boy who saved little sister from angry dog is recovering well

A 6-year-old boy named Bridger has made global headlines after he saved his little sister from an aggressive dog.

Bridger’s aunt Nicole Walker narrated the incident on Instagram, describing how Bridger didn’t hesitate to jump in and protect his little sister from a dog attacking her.

While trying to save his sister, Bridger sustained a lot of injuries. Ms Walker said that Bridger “got bit several times on the face and head” by the dog. Ms Walker said Bridger had to get around 90 stitches from a skilled plastic surgeon after he was attacked by the dog.

Bridger’s aunt has confirmed Bridger is doing well and already recovering.

She wrote in an update to her former post: “I just finished visiting with Bridger at his home. His wounds are looking so much better! He’s in great spirits, and his awesome personality is intact. He can’t smile too widely yet, but he was grinning as I read some of your comments to him.”

Bridger has been praised around the world for his bravery and many celebrities have shared the story on their pages, praising Bridger’s heroism.

When asked why he took the bold step to save his sister, Bridger reportedly said: “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me”.
