Immigration Service confirms Seme, Illela, Maigatari and Mfum land borders now open

Following the directive of the Federal Government, the Nigerian Immigration Service has confirmed it has reopened the affected four land borders.

The land borders that have now been re-opened are:

  • The Seme Border (South-West)
  • Illela Border (North-West)
  • Maigatari Border (North-West and North-East), and
  • Mfum Border (South-South)

This will be the first time these borders will be opened since their closure on 20th August 2019.

In a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer James Sunday, the Comptroller General directed the Heads of the Service formations at these four designated authorized Border Posts to comply and remove restrictions of human movements, while avoiding unethical practices and unprofessional conducts.
