Crescent University probes suspected gay student over sexual harassment

Crescent University in Ogun State said it had begun investigating the case of one of their male students named Samuel Olusope who was accused of being gay and sexually harassing a fellow male student.

Samuel Olusope, a final-year student of Law in the university, was accused of sexually harassing a 200-level fellow student in the school’s boys’ hostel.

It was alleged that Olusope had drugged the victim’s food and then performed oral intimacy on him. According to the report, Olusope was caught in the middle of the night performing oral intimacy on another student who he had allegedly drugged.

A video posted on the social media gossip platform, Instablog9ja, on Friday, shows Samuel Olusope being surrounded by some of the students including the person he allegedly assaulted as they beat and interrogate him. Olusope told the boys that he performed the act “by mistake” and has already begged the boy to forgive him and not expose him.

Olusope also denied putting anything in the boy’s food to drug him.

The Registrar of Crescent Univesity, Bola Ajibola (SAN), told reporters that the matter has been brought to the school’s attention and is now being investigated.
