Apple and Samsung put differences aside to launch iTunes on Samsung TVs

by Staff writer

Apple’s biggest and closest competitor in the technology business Samsung has announced its decision to begin offering Apple’s iTunes movies and TV shows and Apple AirPlay 2 support on its 2019 Smart TV models.

With the new iTunes movies and TV shows app on Samsung Smart TVs, Samsung customers can now access their existing iTunes library and browse the iTunes Store to buy or rent from a selection of hundreds of thousands of movies and TV episodes.

As the global leader in television for 13 years, Samsung Smart TVs have grown to become one of the largest entertainment platforms available on the market.

Though Apple and Samsung have been known to be serious competitors in the smartphone business for long, this would not be the first time (and certainly not the last) the two companies will be collaborating together.
