Reactions over 6 Nigerians on FBI’s Most Wanted list for cybercrimes

Nigerians accuse the US security service of bias.

The FBI has released the names and photos 79 wanted suspects for cyber crimes, out of which 6 are Nigerians.

The 79 suspects are listed under the agency’s list of most-wanted cybercriminals.

The FBI in a recent tweet asked for help in finding the six Nigerians on the most wanted list. The intelligence and security service disclosed that the six Nigerians they are looking for were involved in “business email compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 million in losses.”

In the list of 79 faces, there are 39 men of Arab origin, 16 Russians, 20 Chinese/Southeast Asian guys, but the FBI only tweeted about the 6 Nigerians on the list.

This act has angered Nigerians on social media and many are speaking out against FBI’s bias.

The 6 Nigerians on the FBI’s most wanted list for cybercrimes are:

a. Richard Izuchukwu Uzuh

b. Alex Afolabi Ogunshakin

c. Felix Osilama Okpoh

4. Abiola Ayorinde Kayode

5. Nnamdi Orson Benson and

6. Micheal Olorunyomi

“Help the #FBI find six Nigerian nationals wanted for their involvement in business email compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 million in losses,” the security service tweeted.
