A Nigerian man known as Izu (@Legend_Izu on Twitter) has reportedly committed suicide over false allegations of rape made against him.
It was said that Izu killed himself after one Nanichi Anese (or simply Nani) repeatedly accused him of rape. The hashtag #justiceforizu is currently trending on Twitter.
A supposed friend of Izu Madubueze shared news of his death of Twitter. He also posted an image of Nani, writing:
“This is the b***h that accused my friend wrongly of rape, now my friend has committed suicide, he killed himself because he couldn’t handle the trauma,his phone kept blowing up, you didn’t give him a chance to clear his name. #justiceforizu she has locked her accounts. RIP Izu.”

It was reported that Nani compiled of a list of those she claimed to sex offenders, including Izu’s name, and posted it on Twitter. Izu tried many times to get her to remove his name from the list because he was innocent but Nani blocked him instead.
