Popular Nigerian DJ and billionaire’s daughter DJ Cuppy said she has decided to lend her voice to the #ENDSARS campaign currently rocking the country even though she is not directly affected by it.
DJ Cuppy said she going against the advice of some of her friends to voice out her support on the trending #ENDSARS protests. The celebrity DJ begged her fans who she refers to as “Cupcakes” to forgive her for taking so long to comment on the issue.
The 27-year-old disc jockey and music artiste wrote on her official Twitter page:
“Going against the advice of those around me, but it doesn’t feel right. Silence can say so much. My fellow Nigerians, forgive me for taking so long to comment…
She added:
“I would lying if I said I’m DIRECTLY affected by SARS but a lot of my Cupcakes are and that’s enough for me to care. I stand behind the movement to #EndPoliceBrutality AND #EndSARS.”
