Nigeria Government relaxes curfew and ban on gatherings

The Presidential Task Force on COVID–19 has reduced the nationwide curfew by 4 hours.

Effective from tomorrow, the curfew will start from 4 am to 10 pm every day.

The announcement was confirmed by personal assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.

The ban on inter-state travel remains in place while public gatherings of more than 20 people outside of a workplace is prohibited.

Churches and mosques can open but with serious restrictions. They will work with the state governments on agreed protocols reached between the state and the religious leaders: mandatory masks, limited opening hours, physical distancing, etc.
