An Anambra State man identified as Samson Iwuchukwu Anajemba allegedly beat up and burned his wife for persistently gossiping with his name.
Samson Iwuchukwu Anajemba was said to be a native of Akabo Village in Mbaukwu, Anambra.
He allegedly came home of accused his wife, Mrs Ifunanya Georgina Anajemba, of gossiping with his name. He beat her up and then poured petrol on her and ignited a match to set her on fire.
He also threw her things out.
Luckily, Mrs Ifunanya Georgina Anajemba survived but suffered burns on her hands and legs. She was later hospitalized.
Closes sources say Samson who lived with his wife and kids in the same Mbaukwu town easily gets violent on his wife and children. He also beat up his daughter that day.
