Actress Eniola Badmus was NOT shot at Lekki Toll Gate protest

Popular Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus was not shot at Lekki Toll Gate when soldiers opened fire at unarmed protesters camping there on Tuesday night, October 20, 2020.

UPDATE: Please disregard our earlier post that alleged otherwise.

The actress has confirmed she is fine herself and was not at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday night as earlier being speculated.

There were reports earlier that Eniola Badmus was one of the injured victims at the Lekki Toll Gate shooting and one source even confirmed to us that she was there.

Now the source has apologized, saying it was a lookalike.

She said: “I thought it was her. The person looked exactly like her and I was one of the people that helped put her in a vehicle. I apologize for the wrong info.”

Nigerian security operatives had on the night of Tuesday, October 20, 2020, opened fire at unarmed protesters camping at the Lekki Toll Gate area of the state, killing and injuring at least 15.

Eniola Badmus has confirmed she is fine and was not at the Toll Gate during the shooting.

The actress posted on Instagram some minutes ago:

“Against all speculations about me being shot or dead at the unspeakable incident that happened at the toll gate few hours ago, I would like to inform you guys that I Eniola Badmus is hale and hearty. Infact, I couldn’t make it there today to lend my voice on the #endsars movement.”
