Nigerian feminist advocacy group, Feminist Coalition, has released a statement addressing the way forward for the #ENDSARS agitation following the president’s speech yesterday, October 22.
The women advocacy group which waded into the campaign for the abolishment of SARS and all manner of police violence in Nigeria by organizing funding and coordinating protesters and providing food, medical and legal relief said it is stopping donations for the #ENDSARS cause going forward.
Feminist CO advised protesters to “stay home and stay safe” following the President’s speech on Thursday, October 22.
Feminist CO in their statement also gave account of all the funds received for the #ENDSARS cause and the expenditures made and stated proposed use for all outstanding funds.
The organization said it is going back to its core mandate, which is championing the advancement of the Nigerian women, and will no longer be accepting #ENDSARS donations going forward.
