Fani-Kayode takes COVID-19 vaccine he initially described as ‘evil’ and a ‘killer’

Nigeria’s former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has come under fire for taking a jab of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine which he earlier described as evil and a killer.

FFK took to his social media handles in April 2020 to condemn the vaccine, describing it as evil and a “killer vaccine” invented by Bill Gates.

Months after, FFK posted photos and videos of him getting vaccinated at the National Hospital Abuja on Tuesday, March 30.

Reacting to the backlash he got for going around to take the vaccine he earlier condemned, Femi Fani-Kayode said that if his hero, Donald Trump, who questioned the vaccine can take it, then he too can.

He wrote in a statement:

“Despite my initially strong reservations I bowed to sound logic and superior reasoning and took my Covid 19 vaccine today. This is thanks to the counsel of my sister, the distinguished Senator Grace Bent, who convinced me to take it and who emphasised that we must set an example to others.”
