African lesbian woman begs court for protection from her ‘dangerous’ ex-lover

A lesbian Zimbawean woman named Linda Sphiwe Mpofu has pleaded with a civil court in the country for protection from her ex-lover who she says is stalking and threatening her life.

Linda Sphiwe Mpofu accused her ex-lover Brenda Mugabazi of being violent and abusive towards her after she ended their relationship.

Linda also said her ex-lover, Brenda, has been stalking her and threatening her life for daring to end their relationship.

Linda Sphiwe Mpofu claimed Brenda Mugabazi has an insatiable sexual appetite and is always demanding sex from her even while she has ended the relationship.

Her story reads:

“I have been living a lesbian life with Brenda (Mugabazi) who forced me into it and I have realized that I cannot continue with it…I am begging the honorable court to grant me a protection order against her…

“This is because I want to live a normal life again. On 25 December 2020, she beat me up and I sustained a swollen left knee and foot and I am still limping up to now. Whenever she meets me, she harasses me and declares that I can’t leave her.”

Magistrate Nkosinomusa Ncube who presided over the case warned Brenda to stay away from Linda, reminding her that the January interim protection order is now a final order.
