Who is Anderson Cooper?
Anderson Cooper is an American broadcast journalist and political commentator. He is popularly known for hosting the CNN broadcast show, “Anderson Cooper 360°”. He also works as a correspondent for 60 Minutes on CBS News.
Anderson Cooper’s full name is Anderson Hays Cooper. He was born on June 3, 1967, in Manhattan, New York City, the United States to his parents: Wyatt Cooper (father) and Gloria Vanderbilt (mother). As of August 2022, Anderson Cooper is 55 years old.

Anderson Cooper’s mother, Gloria Laura Vanderbilt was born on February 20, 1924. She was an American artist, actress, author and fashion designer. She was a member of the wealthy Vanderbilt family. During her lifetime, Gloria Vanderbilt was married four times and divorced once. Her marriage to Anderson Cooper’s father was the fourth. Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper tied the knot on December 24, 1963, about four years before Anderson Cooper’s birth. They were married for fifteen years until Wyatt Cooper’s death in 1978. Gloria Vanderbilt passed away on June 17, 2019.
Anderson Cooper’s father, Wyatt Emory Cooper was born on September 1, 1927. He was an American author, screenwriter and actor. Wyatt Cooper was the fourth husband of Cooper’s mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. He passed away on January 5, 1978 in Manhattan, New York City at the age of 50, while undergoing open heart surgery. Wyatt Emory Cooper was buried at the Vanderbilt Family Cemetery and Mausoleum, Staten Island, New York, the United States.

Anderson Cooper has one direct brother and two older half-brothers. Anderson Cooper’s brother, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper was born on January 27, 1965, two years before Anderson Cooper was born. Carter Vanderbilt Cooper was born to Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper (same parents as Anderson).
Unfortunately, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper committed suicide on July 22, 1988, at the age of 23, by jumping from the terrace of a penthouse apartment. In her book, “A Mother’s Story”, Gloria Vanderbilt expressed her belief that Carter Vanderbilt Cooper’s suicide was influenced by a psychotic episode due to an allergy to an anti-asthma prescription drug. Carter Vanderbilt Cooper was buried at the Moravian Cemetery, New York, the United States.
Apart from Carter Vanderbilt Cooper, Anderson Cooper has two other older half-brothers from his mother’s previous marriage to Leopold Stokowski. They are named Leopold Stanislaus Stokowski and Christopher Stokowski.
Leopold Stanislaus Stokowski was born on August 22, 1950, to Gloria Vanderbilt and her ex-husband Leopold Stokowski. He is fondly referred to as Stan by family and friends. Stan Stokowski is married to Emily Goldstein. He is currently 72 years old.

They started dating in the year 2009 and went public with their relationship in 2015. Sadly, Cooper and Maisani split in 2018. It was rumoured that the cause of their split was because Cooper was spending time with another man called Victor Lopez.

Maisani has been more private since their son, Wyatt was born. But it was revealed that he was in the delivery room when the surrogate mother gave birth to Wyatt. Maisani and Cooper are said to be in an on-and-off relationship but nothing has been confirmed yet.

In 2018, Anderson Cooper was reported to be in a relationship with Texas-based doctor, Victor Lopez. Victor Lopez was born on February 16, 1985. Although their relationship hasn’t been officially confirmed, Lopez once posted a picture of himself with Anderson Cooper. The picture was said to have been taken when Cooper was in Dallas to celebrate Victor Lopez’s birthday.
