Panel sleeps off while watching CCTV footage of Lekki shooting

Some members of the Lagos judicial panel of inquiry and restitution for victims of SARS-related abuses were caught dozing after hours of viewing the CCTV footage from the Lekki Tollgate.

It is alleged that the long length of the sound-less footage had caused many of the viewers to fall asleep from boredom.

An official of the LCC, the company in charge of the tollgate, had advised the panel to begin viewing the footage from around 4 pm time of recording.

The video ran into several hours with not audio.
