Diamond Platnumz is a Tanzanian Bongo Flava recording artist, dancer, songwriter and philanthropist. He is also known by the nickname “Chibu Dangote” by his fans. Bongo Flava is another name for Tanzanian music.
Diamond Platnumz’s real name is Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack. He was born on October 2, 1989, in Tandale Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is 32 years old as of March 2022. Diamond Platnumz is of the Ha heritage and a devout Christian. He was raised by his parents, Abdul Juma and Sanura Kassim, in Dar.

As of the time of publishing this article, Diamond Platnumz is divorced and has not remarried. The artiste was previously married to South-African-based Ugandan businesswoman and socialite, Zari Hassan. They separated in 2018.

Zari and Diamond Platnumz first met on Twitter when Zari sent him a DM to invite him to her all-white party. Diamond then directed her to speak to his manager. In 2018, Zari Hassan ended her marriage with Diamond Platnumz after receiving proof of his infidelity. On an episode of the Netflix reality show, “Young, Famous and African”, Zari admitted that she had known about Diamond Platnumz’s cheating escapades all along, but chose to be mute about it for peace to reign.
Reacting to the allegations of infidelity, Diamond Platnumz stated that he knew he had wronged Zari more than she wronged him, but added that what hurt him the most was that Zari had something to do with Nigerian musician Peter Okoye and her gym instructor at the same time she was in a relationship with him.
