Harmonia’s family hails from Chicago and she spent most of her childhood learning about Italian Renaissance paintings. After completing high school, she attended Glenville State College in West Virginia.
In 2017, she debuted as an artist through a solo exhibition themed “Black Imaginary to Counter Hegemony (B.I.T.C.H.)” at the Simard Bilodeau Contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles. She also became famous for her interpretation of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” artwork with black women portraying the roles of God, Adam, and other characters.
